So I was researching these raccoon dogs and I found a webpage created by a guy who keeps them as pets. His white raccoon dog Misty was kicked out of the nest and was bottle raised. Here she is playing with a husky (her stepdad):

Isn’t that adorable?
Misty grew up and had her own litter of puppies with Max (her partner). Raccoon dogs are monogamous and the father takes an active role in raising the pups (sounds like us humans could learn something from them).
Here’s the puppies:

Max is usually glued to the pups’ side.

The guy who owns the site sells these dogs but he lives in Europe. I very much doubt you can get them anywhere near where I live.
So sweet. I want 10 of them! I bet my dog Pixie would be jealous tho’.
Oh Janers, they’re so beautiful. They look like teddy bears! I’m assuming Max’s coat is black since they’ve got a couple of black puppies?
They’d probably be reeeeeally expensive even if they were available in Australia, right?
No that’s Max there in the photo – he’s more glued to the pups than than misty. I thought the black was pretty interesting too. Dark coats must be a recessive gene in this type.
I don’t think they’d be very expensive – the fur farmers sell their skins for next to nothing.
I naturally assumed that was Misty because it looks like the pups are suckling.
Why isn’t fur farming illegal? It’s just sick.
yeah it does doesn’t it? The guy said that Max often lies like he is the one feeding the pups but it really looks like they are actually suckling. They often lie in a pile and snuggle up to sleep so maybe they are just doing that?
Coz it’s China – I don’t think they have any animal welfare laws at all.
Awww. Can I have two?
I know they are soo cute♥ I don’t know why someone would do what they do to all these, and other, animals in those horrible fur farms! I have been, in a way researching this and am making vids on youtube and pics on RMD: http://www.ratemydrawings.com/drawings/emotions-2009/525754.html to try and get the message out there for all of these murdered animals and hopefully, if enough people do the same, one day there will not be such thing as a Fur Farm.
Thanks for your comment Wild Wolf – it’s gives me hope that there are people out there who feel this way.
